శ్లో॥ నమః శివాభ్యాం నవయౌవనాభ్యాం పరస్పరాక్లిష్ట వపుర్ధరాభ్యాం ॥ నగేంద్రకన్యావృషకేతనాభ్యాం | నమో నమఃశంకర పార్వతీభ్యాం || పరాత్పరుండగు పరమేశ్వరుడు 9వ శతాబ్దిలో భక్తుల మనోభీష్టము లీడేర్చుటకు గాను వేంచేసిన స్థలముననే ఈస్ం వెలిసెను.
ఈశ్వరుని గ్రామము అయినందున ఈస్ గాం నామము ఏర్పడెను. జైనులు పూజించు సమయమున "భైరవ నామము” చే ప్రఖ్యాతి చెందెను, తదనంతరము "మల్లన్న" నామధారియై మహిమలు చూపెను. ఆలయము నిర్మాణము నిశితముగా పరిశీలించిన కాకతీయులనాటి కళాఖండములు గోచరించును.
కంచి కామకోటి పీఠాధిపతులు శ్రీశ్రీశ్రీ సద్గురు శంకరాచార్యుల వారి ఆదేశానుసారంగా ఆగమ శాస్త్రరీత్యా ఆలయ నిర్మాణము గావించి 1979 జ్యేష్ఠ శుద్ధ పంచమి పంచరాత్రములు విధి ప్రకారము హోమ హవనాది విధులొనర్చి "శివమల్లన్న” నామమున ప్రాణ ప్రతిష్ట గావించెను. స్వామి వారికి సహజ సిద్ధమైన భస్మరేఖలుండుట ఇక్కడి విశేషము.
గర్భగుడిలో శ్రీ గణపతి, శ్రీ పార్వతిదేవి, శ్రీ విష్ణుమూర్తి, శ్రీ సూర్యాధిదేవతలు కలవు. ప్రాకారమునకు నలువైపుల శ్రీ కాళభైరవమూర్తి, శ్రీ వీరభద్రస్వామి, శ్రీ మహంకాళి అమ్మవారు, శ్రీ అభయాంజనేయస్వామి వార్ల ఆలయములు కలవు. ఉత్తర ద్వారము వెలుపల శ్రీ శీతలాదేవి (గ్రామదేవత) పశ్చిమాభిముఖముగా వెలిసినది. గర్భగుడిపైన శివలీలలు భోదించు శిల్పములు రమ్యముగా వెలిసినవి. శ్రీ నందికేశ్వరస్వామి, ధ్వజస్థంభములు చూపరులనాకర్షించుచున్నవి. ఈశాన్య దిశలో స్వామి వారి కళ్యాణమంటపము కలదు. గాలిగోపురము గమనించవలసినది.
